The 'Small Steps Programme' sees Farmers actively making small steps towards building a healthier environment that enables our customers and employees to have a positive impact on the health of our planet.
We have chosen to deliver a number of initiatives that we believe will create a healthier environment for our communities and significantly reduce our environmental footprint.
As of 1 July 2019, single-use plastic bags were replaced with more environmentally friendly paper or reusable bags at all Farmers stores.
We encourage you to bring your own bag when shopping, this is by far the best option for the planet. If you don't have a reusable bag, consider buying a Farmers tote bag when next in store. This is a robust option that can be used over and over again. When not in use, it can be easily folded into your handbag, backpack or car's glove compartment.
Energy efficient LED lighting is currently being rolled out to all stores.
