Having a dryer will make life easier when weather or time isn’t on your side.
Choose the dryer that best suits your lifestyle.

Vented

  • Simple to use.
  • Water in the clothes evaporates and the hot humid air is blown out of the dryer through to an external vent.

Condenser

  • Recycles air, passing moist, hot air from the clothes through a heat exchange, extracting the water and sending the hot dry air back through the clothes.
  • Suitable for a well-ventilated room to prevent condensation.
  • Water is collected in a reservoir.
  • The dryer will signal when the reservoir needs emptying.

Heat Pump

  • Energy efficient appliance costing less than a similar sized vented machine to run.
  • Venting is not required, as no hot air or moisture is created.
  • Water is collected in a reservoir.
  • The dryer will signal when the reservoir needs emptying.

Other things to consider:

Capacity

  • The higher the kilogram capacity the more clothes can fit in each load.
  • An 8kg dryer will be suitable for approx. 3-4 people, while a 9kg+ dryer will be suitable for a household of 5+
  • It is not necessary to match the kilograms of your dryer to your washing machine if using additional drying methods.

Features

  • Look out for additional features that can make your life easier:
  • Anti-crease
  • Auto program
  • Sensor technology to detect when clothes are dry
  • Reverse tumbling to minimise tangling of larger items
  • Drying rack which is great for wet shoes and delicate items that you don’t want to tumble.
